“How is the CEA Involved in the Fuel Cell Recycling?” starts with this question the interesting interview to our partner CEA-Liten. An overview of its role as one of the most important European Institutions in the Energy research, to go through its specific activity of material recovery and recycling from End-of-Life fuel cells. Together with Hensel Recyling, the CEA is exploring the optimisation of recovery technologies of Platinum and Ionomer from the Protone Exchange Membrane stacks and fuel cells. The CEA is focusing on the PEM dismantling and recovery technologies on the one hand, on the material characterisation of the recovered platinum salt for closed or open-loop strategies on the other hand.
